Pet Connection - Taney County

This page is devoted to the activities at the Taney County Animal Control, an arm of the Taney County Health Department.  Shelter staffers regularly send us photos of animals re-located by Animal Control Officers and also those placed for adoption by their owners.

The Animal Shelter is located on Critter Trail, off State Highway 165 south of Hollister.  Adoption hours are 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Monday thru Saturday.  The following animals are in need of a new home. Click on the photo to enlarge image. Call 417-332-0172 for information.

We are having a half price adoption special "Kittenpalooza". All cats and kittens adoption price is slashed in half. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchipping for $37.50. Pictured below are some animals currently available for adoption.  Find one, fall in love and call the Shelter for adoption information!

Turkey Creek Farm and Home Supply in Hollister will donate $2.20 from the sale of every bag of "Pro Pack" dog or cat food to the Taney County Animal Shelter and the Humane Society of the Tri-Lakes in Reeds Spring. Turkey Creek Farm and Home is located on St. James Street between Business Highway 65 and State highway BB next to the bridge in Hollister.

We still need:  dog & cat toys, dog food, cat food, puppy food, kitten food, dog & cat treats, chew toys, rawhides, cat litter, litter boxes, cat beds, collars, leashes, ear wash, cotton balls, Q-tips, non-tip water bowls, dog shampoo, hand sanitizer, laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap, dryer sheets, bleach, trash bags (tall kitchen & heavy duty), old towels, paper towels, spray bottles, brooms, mops, mop heads.

Your donations have been (and will be) distributed to the Humane Society of the Tri-Lakes in Reeds Spring, the new Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society in Branson and the Taney County Animal Shelter south of Hollister.
