Five people were seriously hurt in a weekend accident in Stone County.  The Highway Patrol says a van driven by 32 year old Joshua Larson of Lampe went off Nauvou Road and hit a tree. The accident happened Friday afternoon, approximately 8 miles west of Lampe.

Larson was airlifted to a Springfield hospital. 4 minors in the van were all taken to Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson with a variety of injuries.

The Southern Stone County Fire Protection District was first to respond to the accident.  Initial calls that came in said a van overturned, with people trapped inside.

A spokesman for the fire district says the group injured was from the Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch in Lampe.
