Paxton says the fire broke out sometime Wednesday, and crews have been on the scene since.  So far, there’s no word on the cause.  Local crews have been helping to contain the fire.  Paxton says this is a fire season we haven’t seen in a while, and because of the drought, everything in the forest is available to fuel a fire.

Paxton says the fire is burning on forest service land 6 miles east of Highway 125, and generally southeast of Hercules Glades Wilderness Area.

1000 acres? 1500 acres? Or 15 acres? Which is the correct information? Pretty huge difference.
